Homemade Steering Dampner assembly. I made this assembly out of a piece of 2 inch diameter aluminum bar stock for the knob, turned on the lathe and I knurled the outside. Beneath the knob I used a 3/4 inch brass hexagonal rod turned round just above the hex base. I then threaded both the aluminum pc and the brass rod and screwed them together tightly. Finished turned the entire piece after that.
